This is probably the closest I will get to having the title of Queen. It was fun while it lasted!
Thanks for sending this along Patrick.

Today we celebrated Mother’s Day at our place, surrounded by family. My kids love it when we have a house full of family. My mom and dad went up to Cleveland to see my brother, so we missed them.
But in addition to the five of us, we are enjoying the company of Tom and Penny; Tammy and Todd; TJ and Jacqueline; Tessa and Jarrord and of course Trei.
Jay has been busy showing everyone our pics from Italy while Heather is getting some expert advice from Tessa on a design project she is doing from school. Jayme and Trei are outside shooting Hoops and the guys are busy watching Memphis Grizziles vs. LA Clippers. As for me, well I have a sink full of dishes to do, which I don’t mind at all.
This is my ideal Mother’s Day, surrounded by family.
What a great way to start out my Mother’s Day – breakfast in bed! Thank you, Jayme (10 year. old) for my awesome breakfast. Love you.
We are at the Copper Penny tonight celebrating Ellie’s 29th Birthday. We had a pre-dinner gathering at Randy and Kim’s place on the lake. Fun fun fun.
My in-laws are great about finding cool gifts for us. This is one of the items they brought back from their recent trip to Naples. Sweet. Thank you!
My friend Tracy sent this picture to me today with the caption “Haven’t pulled the trigger yet. How cute”.
I got the text while walking around downtown Cleveland with my sunglasses on – NOT my prescription glasses. (You need that piece of info to understand the texting conversation that came next). Here’s our conversation after:
Me: Sweet. You can have ours!!
T: Oh no. Why? Did Polly eat your shoes?
T: Polly? Stupid iPhone
(Note: our dog is Lilly – that’s what she meant to type, but she couldn’t see the keys)
Me: We haven’t had good luck with bunny rabbits.
T: Rabbits? Matt is sitting with puppies.
Me: Laughing. Thought they were rabbits. Guess I should put on my glasses!!
We’re getting old. Thanks for the laugh, T
Ok. I’m now worried about myself. I am packing up my office for the big move in a few weeks and started on my credenza today. I found not one, not two, or even three, but FIVE empty jars from Screen Machine Industries. Five. Speechless.
The part you don’t know is that they were filled with M & M’s and given to me as gifts on my many visits out to Screen Machine.
But to keep five empty jars. . .come on Cheri. Jeez.
Good news is that I found some old music CD’s that contained some great tunes which helped the packing go a little easier.
Ok. Back to packing. Blah!
Today is Ron’s birthday. Ron is the husband of Vicky, who works in my office. We enjoyed Ron and Vicky’s company on our trip to Italy. The cute red-head is Jocelyn, their granddaughter.
Have a great day, Ron!
In addition to the menu I shared with you in my last post, I added this fruit palm tree as something a little extra. I even got a "that’s cool" from the 16 year-old.
It’s easy to go the extra mile. Do something unexpected for someone today.
