A little rain ruins nothing in our family.

This morning as I am working away, a few tracks of the wonderful album called High Society by The Silver Seas have popped up on my playlist.  My fave song on the album is called “We’ll Go Walking”.  Unfortunately I can’t seem to find it anywhere to play for you.  So instead, here is another song called “She Is Gone” so you can get a feel for the type of music on this album.

Tonight was our Annual Corporate Putt-Putt Challenge. It was a lot of fun. But in this picture, it is hard to figure out which one of these individuals is the kid! Jayme and Jeff had an ice cube fight. I think Jayme wore him out. I’m not sure who won. Thanks for being such a great sport Jeff.

Today is our 18th wedding anniversary so we went out to dinner together. When we arrived home, our youngest daughter had a few surprises for us, including this plate of happy fruit.

Our oldest daughter finished up a four-day leadership program at Denison University today through HOBY.

Monday my husband and I will celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary on May 21.

At our wedding, we gave each person a parting gift – a plant stem of Lilly Of The Valley. This plant is a perennial, which means it will come up each year. We asked everyone to plant it and to think of our wedding each spring when it blooms.

Tonight we went over to visit my dad who recently had some surgery and I walked by the patch of Lilly Of The Valley that my mom planted from our wedding, 18 years ago. It is still going strong and smells beautiful.

It was a nice reminder. Thanks, mom.
